Final orders that are put in place through the Divorce Act ISO process are enforceable. In Nova Scotia, the Maintenance Enforcement Program (MEP) is a provincial government program through which all court orders for support are registered and enforced. These orders may be enforced by similar programs in other provinces and territories and reciprocating jurisdictions outside of Canada, though the program may have a different name. For example, the program in Ontario is called the Family Responsibility Office.
